Wow! It was the first day at work I actually had to do something. And now I miss those old boring independent days. Not really. I have never made so many phone calls in one day. Naturally since I don’t have 200 friends I need to talk in one day. I spoke to people from everywhere today. It’s really interesting. Specially listening to their caller tunes. The people from Bihar, Jharkhand, and in general, the East had okay tunes. Mostly Coke ones, but a few Bollywood songs now and then. But the ones from the “Great Land Of South India” were really classic. Sai Baba songs in kannada, numerous dentional songs in local languages, south indian film songs but what over shadowed everything was this “rock ‘n’ roll” Tamil song! I knew it was Rock ‘n’ Roll because that was the only word I could understand was… “Rock ‘n’ Roll”. Someone even had Spice Girls’ Two Become One Everyone needs some entertainment when you’re calling 200 people And the north-south language barrier. They could barely understand my english and I didn’t understand their english.

I really tried and refrained from being nasty, now that even you, Sania, have crossed over to the dark side. You don’t even know how tempted I am to be a kuttiya right now “Great land of South India, South India, South India” Ditcher!

I was thinking yesterday how we guys were born at the right time. Not really because we are never lonely or never lied to, but really. We have the privilege and the comfort of things like cell phones and internet but yet we can remember a time when there was none of these. No cell phones, no internet, no 100 channel TVs (Sanias worst time), no satellite radios, no iPods, no Microsoft Windows, no laptops… you get the point. We had proper cartoons. Mickey and Donald. Tom and Jerry. Bugs Bunny, Duck Tales (in english ). We didn’t have ugly cartoons with complicated stories and weird creatures. I feel so sorry for todays kids. They have to watch ugly cartoons. For them 5 ‘o clock doesn’t mean “go to the park, but come back before dark”, NOT accompanied by maids and servants. I bet they never even play Ludo Am I sounding like a 50 year old? But don’t you agree? Kids today are so… in a different zone?
