Today I managed to watch John Mayer on Live From Abbey Road. Ever since I saw the promos for it I was hoping I wouldn’t miss that episode. Luckily I didn’t.
John Mayer is one artist who just… I don’t know what. I’m not a Mayer fan because I think he’s hot or his voice is awesome. His music just takes everything to a whole new level for me. And Continuum just breaks through everything. I have already written about this before, though. But honestly, Continuum just really is one of those things I don’t know how I was living without and now, cannot ever live without. It’s one of those albums that just brings out the smiles when they are really needed and lets out the tears when they need to. I still think of those days where I’d be all alone at 3am, walking in the shed, looking at the sky and listening to Continuum and literally feeling the weight of the world being taken away with every melody and lyric. Everything about it is just so calming and beautiful.
I had this desire to buy everybody I know a copy of Continuum just because it meant so much to me. It’s not that I’m a John Mayer fan that’s why I like the album. I am a John Mayer fan and a Continuum fan. Even writing about it makes me feel good.
Leave me alone on a deserted island with Continuum and Middle Of Nowhere and a CD player and ever-lasting batteries and I’d be fine. I’d survive and be happy. Seriously.
*sigh*
