I am so sick and tired of people distorting images when trying to resize them to fit in a frame. I mean, are you blind to see that the image is not what it is supposed to look like? The worst is when people distort faces, brand logos and other identification images. You simply CANNOT distort an identification image! If it doesn’t fit your frame, change the frame. If you can’t change the frame, don’t put the picture!!
Rule: ALWAYS press Shift and adjust from the corner of the image so that the height and width resize together! Don’t adjust the height and width separately.
Example:
Consider these two pictures:

Now in order to fit them into one 500×500 screen, this is what you cannot do:
Notice how the pictures DO NOT look like their original?
This is what you should do:
Let the bottom part be blank. Too bad. Because the pictures selected cannot fit into the frame. Do something else like add more picture or something. The last thing you want to see is someone elongated face. It’s just sheer stupidity to do something like that. In my 1 year at IBS, I cannot recall a single presentation where images were not distorted, unless of course, the picture was used as-is. That is shameful. Would you like to someone squash up your face to make it look so fat or elongate it so that you look outlandish?
It’s just basically a question of common sense. See it before you do it. If it looks different, something is wrong.
It really pisses me off to no extent and I swear if I see someone distorting images from now on, I will personally come and strangle them.
*sigh* Excuse my wasteful irritation. I have much more to write. About the use of correct punctuation and proper paragraph alignment (Justify) but I will do so separately.
Goodnight!
